Mostar (2)The Prime Minister of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) Denis Lasić spoke yesterday in Mostar with the Ambassador of Romania to BiH Filip Teodorescu on the relations between the two countries, as well as the economic relations between Romania and the HNK.

Teodorescu said that Euro Atlantic integration and the EU is the only path for BiH, and which all members of the EU support.

According to him, BiH assumed certain obligations with the Stabilization and Association Agreement that must be fulfilled, and which is why politicians in this country have a big responsibility.

Ambassador Teodorescu suggested that a roundtable be organized with the cooperation of the Romanian Embassy and the Ministry of Economy of HNK, in which businesspeople from the Canton and from Romania exchange experiences and agree on a model of cooperation.

Lasić said that the government of HNK has made significant efforts to make it easier for businesspeople to realize their ideas through the adoption of necessary laws, but also commented on the difficulties the Canton faces due to the situation in the FBiH, as well as the city of Mostar.

Lasić also said that the government is ready to be host to businesspeople from Romania and to visit together the potentials and resources that the HNK can offer, and to enable direct contacts for the branches for which Romanian businesspeople express interest.
