Thousands of passenger and freight vehicles daily use the constructed sections of the A-1 motorway in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the section from Tarcin to Sarajevo and and Zenica and the section from Medjugorje to Ljubuski.
The toll booths of the FBiH Highway Company, under which jurisdiction is the A-1 motorway, recorded a record number 11.7 million vehicles last year which used the motorway.
This was confirmed by Tina Dervisevic from the company “Autoceste”, who said that year after year there is a continuous growth of cars, Dnevni Avaz newspapers reports.
“In 2018 alone, 11,711,070 vehicles passed through toll booths. Last year’s revenue from toll collection was 41,219,256 BAM,” said Dervisevic.
Dervisevic also added that the highest traffic is, nevertheless, in summer months of July and August, which is expected given that it is a holiday season.
