Prime Ministers Nikšić and Oršolić Support Initiative for Building Dam

bosnia floodsFederation Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić met with Prime Minister of Posavina Canton Marijan Oršolić and Municipal Mayor of Orašje Đuro Topić in Sarajevo today, who informed him about consequences caused by floods in this part of the Federation of BiH and plans for restoration.

 

It was assessed it is necessary to take flood protection measures. In that context, they supported initiative to propose project of building a dam to be financed by funds raised at the Donor Conference for joint regional projects.

 

Given that economy of Posavina mostly relies on agricultural production, they also considered initiative on possibility of finding favorable loans to finance the sowing.

 

Prime Minister told his guests that the Federation Government will consider a regulation at this-week’s session which regulates criteria for allocation of assistance to flood affected areas, and proposal for appointment of the Governing Board of Fund for flood affected areas in territory of FBiH, PR Office of the FBiH Government announced.
