The shutdown of integral production at Nova Željezara Zenica, which began yesterday with the suspension of the Agglomeration plant, continues today with the shutdown of the Steel Plant.

Yesterday, in the afternoon, the Blast Furnace was also put into the so-called warm operating mode, which leaves the possibility of a possible restart of production, when the conditions are right.

Nova Željezara Zenica announced that the process of shutting down production is taking place with a high degree of safety, without danger to workers or the environment.

At the same time, talks continue on the possibilities for saving this company. The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting with representatives of the Trade Union, from which it was announced that the suspension of production and bankruptcy are not options.
