zene_zrtve‘’Improvement of position of female victims of rape and torture in B&H 2015-2016 program’ is a document by the B&H Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, which is still a working document, because its adoption requires the consent of the governments of both entities, said to Fena today the Assistant Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Saliha Đuderija.

She said in a public forum that the ‘’Improvement of position of female victims of rape and torture in B&H 2015-2016 program’ is organized by the Foundation for Local Democracy, which was held today in Sarajevo.

‘’Attitudes to the adoption of this program are different, but it is important to mention that the program has some operational activities that do not have to wait for adoption’’, she explained.

Assistant Minister Đuderija said that this program is defined by the projects of the nonprofit sector that have been working for years on these projects, and whose goal is the direct support to victims in terms of improving the capacity of the governmental sector that will identify what is most important to this category of the population.

She added that the program was designed based on the analysis of the situation of the problems and needs of this group, and resulted from the need to carry out further harmonization of the laws, strengthen resources, link partnerships with the nonprofit sector, system of data collection and monitoring system.

Assistant Minister Đuderija stressed that the program cannot be adopted due to the disagreement between the entity governments, more specifically the RS, because a large part of the objectives relate to the harmonization of the laws that are within this entity’s jurisdiction. She added that the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees B&H does not want this program to have a political dimension, but rather a human one.
