Project Gold-16.000 Jobs in Next Five Years

posao5Improving economic and investment development of local communities in order to create new jobs-project GOLD, was the topic of the meeting of representatives of USAID and the Swedish International Organization for Development and Cooperation (SIDA) with representatives of the Employment Bureau of Canton Sarajevo and the relevant cantonal ministries, announced the Sarajevo Canton Employment Office.

The aim of the project is to offer strong support to local communities in economic development, attracting investment and creating new jobs. It will last five years and will be implemented in 48 municipalities, of which 29 are in the FB&H. The task is to increase foreign investment in the municipalities, and development and encouragement of enterprises that will export their products.

Canton Sarajevo will have a key role, and the project will be implemented in municipalities Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad and Vogošća.

Professional staff of GOLD, in cooperation with local communities, plans to create 6.020 jobs in the first phase of the project, which would then indirectly open 10.000 more jobs. The total value of the project is 20 million dollars.
