The Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton proposed a one-month detention for Amir Ibrišimović, Ismet Hamzić and Emir Kukić, who were arrested in the operation “Square”.

The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office accuses them that since 2009, as part of an organized group, they have taken illegal actions by abusing their position and by falsifying documents, traded a large number of real estate in the area of the Sarajevo Canton, which could not be traded, thereby obtaining an illegal financial gain of at least four million BAM .

All the actions of the members of the group were carried out with the help of several lawyers and notaries, by registering the ownership of land and real estate to other persons who are not the actual owners, and which were later resold to third parties, the Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton announced.

Custody was proposed to suspect Ibrišimović due to the risk of escape and the risk that he could repeat the criminal offense if he was released, while Hamzić and Kukić were proposed due to the risk of repeating the criminal offense.

Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), as part of the operation “Square”, in the area of Sarajevo, East Novi Sarajevo, Pale and East Stari Grad, searched business and residential buildings and movable property and temporarily seized documentation from more than 40 locations.
