Farmers gathered today in front of the building of the FB&H Parliament to express their dissatisfaction with the work of the Committee for Agriculture of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament.
This protest is organized by Association of Farmers in B&H, with the support of the Union of Agricultural Association of FB&H and smaller agricultural associations from Sarajevo, Tuzla, Goražde, Central -Bosnia Canton and Una -Sana Canton.
Farmers protest aim to draw attention to the problem of failure of adopting a stimulus program, whose deadline for adoption was 60 days since the adoption of the budget. The deadline expired on 6 February and the Committee for Agriculture of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament should discuss today this year’s stimulus program.
The President of the Union of the Agricultural Association of FB&H Avdo Muslimović said that it is expected that the Committee would agree today to finally adopt the stimulus program for 2014.
According to him, farmers require the payment of unpaid incentives from part of 2012, 2013 and it is estimated that the amount is around 15 to 18 million BAM.
