A citizen’s protest is was held in Pale on Wednesday evening due to the beating of young people committed by the police during the recent raid in the Enigma discotheque.

A large number of citizens gathered on the Square in Pale to express their dissatisfaction with what happened after the police raid in the Enigma discotheque. The protest was organized under the slogan “Justice for the youth of Pale”, and those gathered are demanding answers, a transparent and impartial investigation and the determination of all the circumstances of this case.

The protest followed a police raid in the Enigma disco when, as a large number of citizens claim, excessive force was used, which was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska and announced an internal control.

The Ministry initially said that there was no excessive use of force, but four days after this event a completely different announcement was made. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS announced that the aim of the action was to control the restaurant in Pale, with the aim of verifying the legality of organizing the security of the concert, as well as the persons engaged in these tasks.

The gathered citizens said that they will not give up their demands and that they expect the competent institutions to establish all the facts, inform the public about the results of the investigation and, if anyone’s responsibility is determined, take appropriate measures.
