mostar-protestCitizens of Mostar will gather today in front of the Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK), where they will ask that all four demands of citizens be considered on the daily agenda of the next meeting of the Assembly.

Citizens are demanding the resignation of the HNK government, who they said has been irresponsible for many years and dysfunctional, and unable to solve social, education and social protection issues.

They are asking for the abolition of the benefits to politicians and public officials, including the ‘white bread’, and the harmonization of their salaries with the average salary of a worker, and adopting a Law on social protection, protection of civilian war victims and families with children in HNK.

In a statement of the Plenum of citizens of Mostar, they are seeking the official report from the Ministry of Interior of HNK on the protests in Mostar and the activities undertaken, their assessment of the security situation in HNK, as well as the names of all people who were detained for questioning and who were fined and those who were prosecuted.

In front of the HNK Assembly, a collective signing of the petition for adopting the demands will be held at 16:00, and one hour later there will be a gathering of citizens of the Plenum of Mostar.
