The 15th anniversary race/walk for healing “Race for the cure” was held today in Sarajevo with the participation of several thousand participants.

The aim of the race is to strengthen the health of women and their fight against breast cancer. The race is an international event that takes place in more than 150 cities around the world.

The race is of a humanitarian nature, and the proceeds are directed to mammography examinations in rural areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other types of assistance to women suffering from breast cancer.

Race for the Cure is the largest sporting event to promote the importance of women’s health.

The funds collected are extremely important, given that every year in Europe, 500,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed, and 130,000 people unfortunately lose their lives.
