Raising Awareness about Violence as a Social Phenomenon

XY associationAssociation XY held a campaign today in Sarajevo in front of the BBI Centre about raising awareness about violence among young people.

“Be a man – sign the declaration, my 5 against violence” is the name of the campaign held by the members of the “Be a man” clubs involved in the regional program “Young men initiative”.

The campaign is effectuated in cooperation with the association CARE International, Balkans and supported by the Swiss government, Austrian development cooperations, OAK Foundation and CARE Germany – Luxembourg.

The volunteers have, during the 2 hours lasting campaign, invited the citizens of Sarajevo to vote against violence and to sign the declaration “My 5 against violence”.

They also organized educational workshops about preventing violence so disciples of elementary and secondary schools and all the citizens had the chance to find out more about violence as a social phenomenon.
