Reaction from Croatia about the Rally, Sarajevo Mayor accused of “supporting Terrorists”

On Sunday in Sarajevo, several thousand citizens attended a rally in support of the people of Palestine, addressed by Mayor Benjamina Karic, among others. Appeals for peace were sent, but negative reactions were also recorded in the neighborhood. Thus, on one of the Twitter profiles, qualifications were presented that “supporters of the Hamas terrorist organization in Sarajevo” enjoy the endorsement of the mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic.

Namely, Zvonimir Milas, in a post in English on the social network X, presumably addressing an international audience, told heinous lies claiming that Sarajevo was completely “ethnically cleansed” of Catholics, Orthodox, and Jews.

“Sarajevo, once a multicultural city, has been almost completely ethnically cleansed of Catholic Croats, Orthodox Serbs, and Sephardic Jews,” wrote Milas.

Namely, Milas is known on the X social network for his, to put it mildly, controversial views. Thus, commenting on Croatian President Zoran Milanovic‘s statement that the flag of Israel should not have been displayed at Croatian institutions after the Hamas attack, he concluded that “Tito’s guard stood in defense of jihadist terrorists” by sharing a photo of Josip Broz Tito and Yasser Arafat, N1 reports.
