A reception on the occasion of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Statehood Day, hosted by the Chairmans and members of the BiH Presidency, Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic, was organized last night at the BiH Presidency Ceremonial Office.

This reception will remain memorable and compelling in comparison to all the previous ones. Namely, after Dzaferovic’s speech, Komsic greeted the audience and let doyen of BiH acting Josip Pejakovic, the last recipient of the ZAVNOBIH (The State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of BiH) Charter to give a speech. ZAVNOBIH Lifetime Achievement Award in 1991 was presented to him by the first President of BiH, Alija Izetbegovic.

In an original and emotional way, Pejakovic recited the poem ‘’Land of stone’’ to the audience.

‘’The people of this country need peace, justice. A system that guarantees everyone’s rights and gives hope that they will be able to provide a normal life for themselves and their children,’’ Sefik Dzaferovic, a member of the BiH Presidency, said last night regarding the Statehood Day.

Dzaferovic said that division policies were present in BiH.

‘’Once again, I would like to say that it is a waste of time because it is not possible to succeed in doing so. It is clearly shown to them every day. The only reason for investor withdrawal could be the political instability, and  it is not good for anyone,’’ he said, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
