Record Number of Exhibitors at the Gastro Festival in Foča

Gastro Fest foca24.infoTwenty-seven exhibitors presented the rich offer of traditional cuisine and authentic dishes of the Foča area at the 9th Gastro Festival in Foča.

Restaurants, pizzerias, patisseries, rafting clubs, agricultural producers, beekeepers’ organizations, fishermen, alpinists and guests from Višegrad, Rogatica and Bileća had their booths at the festival.

Mayor of the Foča Municipality Radisav Mašić said that this event shows the richness of the Serb nation.

“We demonstrate that Foča is a municipality where tourism has a chance,” Mašić said.

Director of the Tourist Board of Foča Municipality Ljeposava Đajić said that gastro offer is an important segment in the overall tourist offer.

“If a guest is satisfied with food, especially with authentic dishes from a certain area, they will certainly leave satisfied,” Đajić said.

National park “Sutjeska” presented the dishes that their guests demand the most – roe stew, pitas, polenta, stuffed pork, rolled Gacko cheese.

In addition to a rich offer of meat and fish dishes, at the booth of the Fish restaurant the visitors could taste traditional delights tufahija and cereals with cream.

Visitors’ attention was also drawn by the brandy “cheers”, made of 37 sorts of herbs.
