Red Alert at University Clinical Center Sarajevo​ because of 27 Patients in Serious Health Condition

During the last night, 209 samples for the presence of coronavirus were tested at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS). There are 58 positive patients in the Sarajevo Canton, confirmed by this institution, Radio Sarajevo writes.

220 COVID-19 patients are accommodated in the KCUS, and as many as 27 are in extremely serious condition in intensive care. Nine patients died.

97 patients are accommodated at Podhrastovi isolation ward, and 17 are in intensive care. 48 KCUS employees are positive for coronavirus, and 31 are in isolation. KCUS points out that the situation with the pandemic is seriously deteriorating in the Sarajevo Canton.

To recall, in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, coronavirus was confirmed in 894 people, of which 567 cases in the Federation of BiH and 310 in the RS. As a result of the infection, 29 people died – 22 in the Federation of BiH and seven in the RS. Today, 17 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the Brcko District.
