SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina – The unique and exciting Red Bull Soapbox Race was held today in Sarajevo, bringing together 35 creative and daring teams and thousands of visitors for a spectacular day of fun, ingenuity and adrenaline.

Returning to Sarajevo after two decades, the popular event transformed Alipašino Polje into a giant stage, where competitors raced handmade, engine-free vehicles down a challenging track, relying solely on gravity to reach the finish line.

The teams were judged not only on speed, but also on creativity, originality, stage performance and their ability to successfully navigate the track.

The team “BH Farmers” from Konjic emerged as the overall winner. “Golden State Welders” from Tuzla took second place, while “Superbeards” from Banja Luka finished third.

“We decided to tell the story of our Bosnian and Herzegovinian farmers, provide them with support and, through our idea, draw attention to these hardworking people. I can proudly say that we succeeded in doing so and spiced this story with a victory,” the winning team “BH Farmers” said.

They congratulated all the participating teams, emphasizing that reaching the finish line required much more than a good idea.

“It was not easy, because in addition to a good idea, it was necessary to design and organize everything so that we would successfully reach the end. However, we did our best and today we finished this adventure in the best possible way,” the winners added.

The second-place team, “Golden State Welders,” said their vehicle performed exactly as planned.

“We achieved good speed, the driver was too good, he did everything we agreed on, the performance was excellent. Our vehicle held up, which is most important. Our welds held up, and everything in general was as we planned,” they said.

For the Banja Luka-based “Superbeards,” the event provided an opportunity to combine entertainment with a message about men’s health.

“The impressions are really great. We are glad that we had the opportunity to talk about men’s health in this way, to show how cool mustaches are and that we have the fastest mustache in the world,” the team said.

The competitors’ vehicles and performances were evaluated by a four-member jury consisting of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most successful alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija, actor Dino Bajrović, artist and motorcycle enthusiast Larisa Kadić, better known as Lara MotoCraft, and professional BMX rider Senad Grošić.

Teams collected points in three categories: vehicle creativity, performance creativity and race time. This meant that speed alone was not enough to win. Competitors also needed an original concept, an entertaining performance and the skill to master the track in a vehicle powered only by gravity.

With its return to Sarajevo after 20 years, Red Bull Soapbox once again demonstrated that it is much more than a race. Alipašino Polje became a large open-air stage of creativity and entertainment, while competitors and spectators together created an atmosphere and memories that are likely to be talked about for a long time.
