Red Cross distributed Food and Boots to Endangered People in Una Sana Canton

Due to snowfall and floods that appeared due to the melting of snow and the overflow of Una River and Sana River from their basins, the Red Cross of the Una-Sana Canton, in cooperation with municipal organizations of the Red Cross, offered help to people in need.

A total 365 food packages, 50 pairs of rubber boots and 50 blankets were distributed.

The Red Cross of the city of Bihac is continuously giving warm meals to old and socially vulnerable people, as stated from the Red Cross of USC.

Around 110 volunteers were engaged on this action, and they cleaned the snow from access roads and in front of houses of old people and weak persons and they are also giving food, hygiene and water packages, boots and blankets.

The Red Cross of the Municipality of Orasje delivered material technical equipment to the Red Cross of the city of Bihac, including: water pumps, aggregates, vacuum cleaners for wet surfaces, flashlights, rubber boots, vests and plastic bags for drinking water.

The Red Cross of Brcko District provided rubber boots, blankets, masks, garbage bags, hygiene, candles and paper towels for the Red Cross of the Una-Sana Canton.

The Red Cross of the FBiH is constantly monitoring field reports and reports about the situation regarding the water level, and it is ready to respond and assist the population in need, within its mandate and in mutual cooperation with civil protection authorities, as announced from their headquarters.
