Modriča oil refinery in 2012 produced 64,000 tons of oil and marketed around 20,000 tons of grease. Managing Director of Oil Refinery Pero Dugić said that 65% of products were exported to countries of the world and 42% of that to the EU. For the first in 2012, the Refinery has been supplier of oils to all mines and thermal power plants in BiH.
Oil refinery has maintained a solid market share in Serbia, and after more than two decades the refinery began again selling significant amounts of oil to Croatia. The refinery expect the rise of sale in Macedonia too.
Investments exceeded six million EUR, and Refinery invested in the construction of new sector for production of motor oils, buying laboratory equipment as well as the modernisation of the motel ”Majna” in Modriča.
Oil refinery Modriča in 2012 produced motor oil for cars ”optima eko” and ”optima eko plus” as well as ”maksima ecro 5” and ”maksima E9”.
Oil refinery in Modriča developed a new generation of motor oils designed for engines of modern cars that comply with the regulations on the emission – “Euro 5” and “Euro 6”, which means the exhaust gases without harmful substances.
“European and world standards for exhaust emission, then the requirements for the higher fuel economy, and the demand on extended replacement intervals – are the main reasons that engineers of the refinery are constantly developing and improving the quality of existing products,” said Dugić to SRNA.
In 2013 the Modriča oil refinery plans to produce 25 000 tons of lubricating oil and also plans to process 95 000 tons of base oils and paraffin.
This company employs 593 workers, a 120 are highly qualified, eight with M.Sc degree and two Sc.D degrees.
