Peace March 2015 fokus.baCommemorating the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, the Union and JOB of BH Telecom, in cooperation with the Association ”Svjedoci svog vremena” (“Witnesses of their time”), are organizing the ”Sarajevo-Nezuk-Srebrenica” Peace March for the fourth consecutive year.

Just as in previous years, the Peace March is to start on July 3rd at eight o’clock in front of the monument of the martyrs and killed soldiers of the Army of B&H in Dolac Malta, Sarajevo.

The marching group from Sarajevo will join members of the Peace March in Nezuk, from where they will continue together to the village of Potočari. The arrival to Potočari is scheduled on July 11th, which is the day of the collective burial and funeral of the victims of the genocide.

”It is our duty to forgive, as well as to forget the sin. That is why we invite all those who feel physically ready to take part in this year’s pedestrian quest, the Peace March, and thus preserve the memory of the innocent Bosniak victims of Srebrenica and Podrinje. All interested parties are invited to register until June 11th this year, at web portal svjedocisvogvremena.ba, via e-mail svjedocisvogvremena@gmail.com, or by phone at 061753907”, the organizers of the Peace March announced.

The peace march route includes rugged mountainous terrain and densely wooded areas with streams, and also goes through a forest with mined areas of a field. Regarding this, all interested parties are kindly asked to review the routes which the peace march passes through, as well as the conditions of the march and the code of conduct.
