Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazovic, initiated the formation of the Committee for the Support of Rohinja People, which will work on informing the public of BiH with the genocide of Rohingya people and collect help for the victims.

On this occasion, the Reis-ul-ulema said that the Islamic Community, as well as BiH, cannot do much to stop the genocide of Rohingya people but to do as much as we can.

“No one as a Bosniak knows what it means to be a victim of genocide and how it feels when the whole world turns back and leaves you to abusers. Therefore, we have an obligation to raise our voice against the genocide anywhere in the world, but not just that, but to try to make it easier for those people with our own sacrifice and concrete deeds or at least to tell the truth about what is happening to them in order for those who can stop this evil to do it,” noted Reis-ul-ulema.

The Committee should gather prominent individuals from the Islamic Community, the media, the NGO sector and the economic sector and it will be open to all those who have the idea that the Islamic Community and BiH could help Rohingya people, as announced by the Office of the Reis-ul-Ulema.
