killed serbs in drakulicMinister of Labor and Veterans Protection of the Republika Srpska Milenko Savanovic, said that 2 300 innocent Serbian civilians were killed by the most extreme fascist state, NDH.  He said this in Drakulić, a place where the marking of 75 years since the killings took place.

Savanovic said that the NDH was the executor of what the Croatian leaders predicted 150 years ago in the idea and the ideology of solving the Serbian issue – a third should be killed, third baptized and last third displaced.

“It sends a message that all crimes committed in these areas, areas of Jasenovac, Šušnjara, Grabovica, Herzegovina and Slavonia, talk about consciousness of our environment,” said Savanovic after the memorial service at the Memorial Chapel in Drakulic.

The Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic stressed that Serbs as a nation must not forget these things for the sake of themselves and their future.

“These things show us how important it is to keep our institutions and how they preserve our right to live, remember the dead and turn to the future”, said Ivanic.

Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic, said that the Serbs in Drakulic and surrounding areas were solely killed because of their religious affiliation, and that the crime was part of the systematic state policy of the fascist Independent State of Croatia.
