flour and bread pricesPriorities of the Sector for Internal Trade are focused on the intensification of economic development and strengthening the internal social stability of the Federation of BiH, as well as initiating and conducting reforms aligned with needs of BiH at its path towards the EU, said Aleksandar Remetic, the Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Trade of FBiH.

When talking about the eventual changes in prices of products and services that consumers buy for personal consumption, minister emphasized that “the price of the wheat in March 2015 at the stock exchange in Budapest was 7% lower compared to December last year and it is expected that prices of flour and bread will remain at the same level“.

“By following prices of basic foodstuff in Federation of BiH for the previous three months, it is noted that process remained at the same level. In order to prevent the increase in price of basic foodstuff it is essential that we strengthen the commodity reserves, both Federal as well as Cantonal ones, in order to be able to act on time in case of emergencies (natural disasters).“, said Remetic.

What he considers especially significant is the competitiveness of domestic products, which, with appropriate quality and price, should be more present at the shelves of retail chains.
