Representatives of 15 Parajemaats joined the Islamic Community of BiH

IZA meeting with 38 groups of parajemaats was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Protocol and inclusion into the Islamic Community was accepted by representatives of 14 parajemaats, it was stated in the report on meetings and agreements with individuals and groups, members of Islam, who are not members of the Islamic Community in BiH. The report was presented after yesterday’s session of the Convocation of the Islamic Community of BiH in Sarajevo.

Based on the information gathered during the implementation of this instruction, statistics are as following: discussion led with 38 groups of parajemaats – Mufti Unit Zenica 13, Sarajevo 12, Tuzla 7, Bihać 3, Mostar 2, Travnik 1. No groups were registered at the territory of Banja Luka and Goražde mufti units.

Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH implemented a process of intense discussions for reaching an agreement with individuals, members of Islam, who are not registered members of the Islamic Community in BiH, i.e. with groups who are not among jemaats of the Islamic Community at the territory of BiH. Discussions were held in 2015 and until March 25 this year, and the Riyasat informed the Mufti Council and submitted a report with the proposal of conclusions to the Convocation at yesterday’s session.

Ismail Smajlović, director of the Office for Administrative and Legal Issues of the Islamic Community in BiH, spoke about the report. Members of the convocation discussed 13 items on the agenda during the session.

Of the total number of groups with whom meeting were held, representatives of 14 groups signed the Protocol and accepted the inclusion into the Community: Debeljak, Salem Bajramović, Čaršija-Kakanj, Osijek, Dragulj – Vreoca, Rakovica, Briješće Brdo, Bistrik, Bakarevac, Ruinica, Borovnica, Bajvati, Mečevići and Bočinja.

Representatives of 22 groups did not sign the protocol: Stijena, Brezičani, Hodžići-Kakanj, Pobjeda-Feth, Briješće Brdo 2, Kasindolska, Gornja Mahala, Kuljani, Bara, Ošve, Kaloševići, Strnokos-Zenica, LIješnica, Kotorsko Donje, Gornja Maoča, Gornji Rahić/Dizdaruša, Čehaje 1, Selo Gračanica, Stara Željeznička stanica Bihać, Kula-Tuzla, Dubnica and Delići-Hukići.

The convocation invited everyone inside and outside of the Islamic Community to support the process of ensuring unity of Ummah at the territory of BIH and to perform their duties in accordance with the jurisdictions, with the aim of general good and public interest.
