Representatives of the Montenegrin authorities will come to Potočare this year to commemorate July 11, the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica.

The delegation will be made up of Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Naida Nišić, Minister of Education and Science Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević, as well as State Secretary in the Ministry of European Affairs Bojan Božović, Podgorica Vijesti writes about it.

The Vice-President of the Parliament, Zdenka Popović, also confirmed and announced that a delegation of the Parliament, which she will lead, will go to the marking on July 11.

We will remind you that in previous years, representatives of the authorities, as well as members of other forums, associations and the like, came to mark the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

Three years ago, the then president Milo Đukanović attended the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, and he was accompanied by the president of the Bosniak Party, Ervin Ibrahimović, MPs Kenana Strujić Harbić and Amer Smailović. That year, the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, spoke on behalf of Montenegro.

Last year and the year before last, the Montenegrin delegation was led by Dritan Abazović, who held the position of Prime Minister at the time, and numerous ministers were with him in the delegation.

Metropolitan Mihailo of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church stood out among the personalities who, with their presence on July 11, showed that they were on the right side of the truth. During his visits, he emphasized that the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), the SPC and the Association of Writers of Serbia had the greatest influence on the war events of the 1990s.
