The “Find Me” emergency public notification system in the event of missing children will be launched today in the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, and it is expected that the FBiH will also establish this system next year.

This is the Amber Alert system, which is active in countries around the world, and was named after the girl Amber, after whose kidnapping and murder an idea was born that aims to facilitate the search for a missing child.

Namely, in the event of the disappearance of a minor, this system will enable the police to notify the public through modern means of communication and involve the wider community in the search.

When this system is launched, every citizen will receive an SMS message that the child is missing, and the media will be obliged to provide information about the disappearance of the child within the first six hours of the disappearance.

Notifications will be published every hour for the first 48 hours of the disappearance.

There will be notifications on highways that the child is missing.
This search system will, as previously announced, start at the entity level in BiH, Klix.ba writes.
