Research: B&H Citizens on top of Europe in taking care of Hygiene

Washing Hands n1info.comGallup, the association of companies which deals with market research throughout the world, has recently conducted a survey on how developed is the habit of washing hands among Europeans. The survey was conducted in 64 countries.

The respondents were asked to answer whether they wash hands with water and soap after going to the toilet. The study showed that washing hands decreases risk of infectious diseases, especially with children.

Recent study by the scientists from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine has shown that dangerous bacteria are eliminated in 82 percent of cases by using ordinary, not antibacterial, soap, while washing hands only with water eliminates bacteria significantly less – in just 48 percent of cases.

According to this research, citizens of B&H are among those who pay the most attention to personal hygiene, since they was hands with water and soap in 96 percent of cases.
