Hvala, Thank you, Grazie, Gracias, Merci, Danke … are the words that were written tonight at the World Peace Memorial – Old Bridge in Mostar.

These were the words to which Mostar people thanked their health care workers in Mostar, but also those around the world, who have been working together for weeks to fight hard for the lives and health of citizens, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

In doing so, Mostar has specifically joined a global campaign to express support for health care workers in the countries affected by the virus, as well as for all those who are on the front line of defense and who endanger their lives on a daily basis to save the lives of others.

“People living in Mostar went through the worst suffering, and they knew how to endure them and welcome victories. This is how it will be this time,” said former Mayor of Mostar and director of the Peace Center Safet Orucevic.
