housesFinal works on 25 houses are taking place in Donja Golubinja in Zepce, which will be handed over to the ownership of the residents of Zeljezno Polje who suffered flood damage last year in May.

In last year’s floods in May, 82 families lost their homes, and the Municipality Zepce managed to resolve the issue for 77 families so far, while the remaining 5 facilities will be solved in the future. In an interview, the Assistant of the Mayor for the Construction and Urban Development Brigita Lovric said that some residents took the funds that were allocated for them and purchased a house, apartment or made facilities in private.

“We are negotiating with the Fund for Solidarity and they will provide funds for the remaining 5 facilities, so that we can put an end to this story. In Donja Golubinja it is a total of 26 facilities. Swiss Caritas constructed 25 facilities in Donja Golubinja and 5 other objects on other locations in Zepce,” said Lovric.

In the whole project, the Municipality of Zepce participated by providing land parcels, the preparatory works for the access road, as well as the necessary drainage of the terrain. Value of construction of houses that Caritas invested amounted to one million BAM.
