ravnoAs part of the project “Sustainable Tourism – Over Herzegovina’s path to Dubrovnik Elaphit” which is realized by the Association for Entrepreneurship and Business “LiNK” Mostar together with partners from BiH and Croatia, on the 17th of November 2016, will be conducted the Final Presentation of project results and grand opening of resort in Ravno.

The resort is near Ravno, the beautiful pine forest along a local road that goes from the direction of Ravno to Cepikuce (border crossing with Croatia, towards Slano) and includes walks through pine forest.

By placing educational board with detailed descriptions, the Municipality Ravno will enrich the content of the resort, so that passengers and visitors will be able to get additional information and to learn more about the biodiversity of the area.

The final presentation of the results of the project was attended by representatives of public institutions, tourism organizations, service providers in the tourism industry, small businesses, craftsmen who work in the tourism industry, associations of hikers, cyclists, associations for rural development, producers of traditional products, media representatives and others from Southeast Herzegovina and neighboring Croatia.

This project identified and marked hiking and biking trails along the route Blue Path Via Dinarica in the area of Popovo field, bordered by municipalities Ljubinje, Trebinje, Ravno and Neum, and in Croatia on Elafitis. Near the paths are mapped local resources of key interest in this area, 268 of them (households, hotels, motels, restaurants, producers of traditional products, cultural and historical monuments, adventure activities like trekking, hiking, caving, kayaking, paragliding, hunting,…), so that traveler and guests have a complete tourist offer.

Through the created website Viadinarica-bluetrail.com with rich content: database of local tourism resources with the browser, folder path, multimedia content (texts, blogs, photos, YouTube video, TV video reports …) will be achieved the full promotion of local resources and slopes in the project area.

The project was funded by the European Union (EU) in the context of the IPA CBC Croatia – BiH 2007-2013, the total value of the project is 505,930.37 EUR of which the EU finances a total of 83.63 %. The project was implemented for 24 months in the municipalities Ravno, Neum, Ljubinje and Trebinje (BiH) and the city of Dubrovnik and Elaphite islands (Cro).

Via Dinarica initiative promotes small business and economic development at the local, national and international level, in the field of services and tourism, and agriculture and cultural heritage. Purpose of trails (hiking, walking and cycling) is to connect countries and communities that connect the Dinaric Alps through creation of unique and diverse tourist attractions.
