The Respected Nobel Prize Winner, Banker and Economist comes in BiH

muhammad-yunus (source seebiz)In the organization of the BBI Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the prominent Nobel Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus will visit BiH. The aim of his visit is mainly to present his own achievements in the field of economics to the local public. The Bangladeshi banker and economist is also founder of the Grameen Bank and is known worldwide for the development of microcredit concept, that is, giving little loans to entrepreneurs who are too poor to qualify for the traditional banks. 

International media and institutions have many times proclaimed Yunus as one of the 25 most influential people in the world.

The Nobel Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus, is a personality who enjoys benefits of support by the world leaders from the West and from the East and who is recognized in the world as a fighter against poverty.

Yunus is the winner of many prestigious international awards in the field of his profession, for exceptional contribution to society and many other academic awards. At the end of last year “The Centennial Fund” composed out of experts from the most developed countries in the world, gave Yunus the award for the ”Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah” work.

Arrival of Nobel Prize winner in BiH is a part of the activities that bank carries out within the framework of corporate social responsibility and the BBI Project of internationalization and promotion of Sarajevo and BiH. In addition, various activities to promote entrepreneurship and the development of the economy will be organized as well.
