invitation_2French artist Baptiste Debombourg will return to Sarajevo. He held his last exhibitions here in 2007 and then in 2010.

He will present his video work entitled ‘Retrovision’, which was conducted in collaboration with David Marin from 2012-2013 and inspired by the gold statue ‘Marx.

The exhibition will be held from 12 September to 31 October 2013 in Gallery Duplex100m2.

The second part of the exhibition will feature new drawings by this artist from the series Tradition of Excellence, where landmines are shown as architectural drawings.

Retrovision is a ‘retro-futuristic’ allegory that poses the question about the location of monuments in collective consciousness, the archeology of the future that is open towards appearances constructed from suppressed, neglected or untold stories.
