The Canton Sarajevo (CS) Tourist Board announced two public calls yesterday: the Winter Calendar of Events and the Sarajevo Winter Fest, which awards grants for programs and projects important for the development and promotion of tourism in CS, and whose implementation will be in the period from December 25th, 2021. until March 21st, 2022, during the tourist season.
Through public calls, projects from various fields were supported: entertainment, culture, sports, gastronomy, tradition, which will provide lots of quality content.
President of the CS Tourist Board Kenan Magoda, coordinator Emina Nizic, and expert advisor for tourism development and creative projects Faruk Caluk at a press conference presented projects that will contribute to tourism development and revive this winter tourist season.
More than a hundred individual activities will be implementedthrough 40 supported projects for which the CS Tourist Board has allocated more than 800.000 BAM.
The activities will take place at more than 10 different locations in the three months of the event. This winter, the CS Tourist Board will use public calls to provide festive decorations for the streets and bridges of Sarajevo, as well as decorations for the Olympic mountains.
It was pointed out that music and entertainment events in the city, on Bjelasnica, Igman, and Trebevic will bring regional stars such as Crvena Jabuka, Zabranjeno Pusenje, Kiki Lesendric and Pilots, Letu Stuke, Regina, Konvoj, as well as young music hopes, and electronic music lovers will enjoy will in performances by famous DJs.
As it was emphasized at the conference, the CS Tourist Board supports the development of new tourist products, so for the first time, winter sports fans will be able to celebrate the New Year on skis, and lovers of adrenaline sports will have the opportunity to visit Bjelasnica on snowshoes.
Also, support is provided for sporting events that have an international character and great visibility, so stars such as Ivica Kostelic and Elvedina Muzaferija will be present.
