Students of the International High School Richmond Park Sarajevo have won a gold medal at the First Lego League International Robotics Olympiad, held in Albania, marking a major international success for the school and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Competing in robotics, programming and innovative problem solving, the team impressed judges with their technical expertise, creative approach, teamwork and confident public speaking. Their project and robotic solutions were evaluated as highly innovative and technically precise, earning them the competition’s highest recognition – the gold medal.
The team was led by professor Džurejdž Crnkić, while the gold medal was won by students Amar Devedžić, Amar Subašić, Emin Galijašević, Ahmed Tarić, Ibrahim Hodžić, Kerim Ibreljić and Uzeir Kurić.
This achievement carries special symbolism as it was accomplished on the eve of Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sending a strong message about the knowledge, dedication and potential of the country’s young generations.
“This medal is the result of months of dedicated work, study and togetherness. We are proud of our students who represented their school and homeland on the international stage,” the school said in a statement.
Richmond Park also expressed gratitude to the students’ parents for their continuous support, as well as to the sponsors who enabled the team’s participation in the competition: Euro Metali, Euro Roal, Hifa Petrol and Navitas Sarajevo.
The school emphasized that this success once again confirms that investment in knowledge, STEM education and the development of young talents yields outstanding results and represents a bright future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
