RS is Favorable for Investment from FBIH

invest_sa1The RS could until the end of the year become a more favorable entity for the launching of business from the FBiH, since the RS government accepted a document that drastically simplifies the process of starting business activities. The proposals and strategies envision reducing the time that is necessary for starting a business from 23 to 3 days, eliminating 6 out of 11 procedures, and reducing costs from 1.500 to 350 KM, according to RTV BN.

“Dnevni Avaz” said that the goal of reforms is the option of an electronic submission of applications, called ‘online registration’.

It is planned that by the end of the year there will be a new and simpler procedure.

The RS expects that this reform would increase the number of businesses by 10 percent, and would affirm the RS as a destination that is attractive for investment, and would increase business ratings.

From the other side, the Director of the Association of Employers of BiH Alija Remzo Bakšić said that in the FBIH there is no strategy when it comes to reducing costs and procedures for starting a business.

“I think that the biggest problem is that institutions that participate in the process of registering and issuing proposals and permits are not IT related. We are asking the FBIH government to establish such a system, because it is an investment that will pay off and that would enable the launching of business in a very short period’’, said Bakšić.

He added that there are many offers from international financial institutions to give soft loans to those who start a new business, and it is time to take this seriously in the FBiH.
