sarajevo-polumaraton-0The beginning of the jubilee 10th Sarajevo Coca-Cola Half Marathon at which is expected a record number of competitors from more than 30 countries, is scheduled for Sunday, the 18th of September, in front of the BBI Center.

Under the slogan “Half marathon, full experience”, the association Marathon Sarajevo will mark the jubilee with two new races – G-Drive relay half marathon and the children’s race Nesquik Kid’s Run, which will certainly give an extra dimension to the most positive story in the city.

Registration and payment of the participation fee for the 10th half marathon and relay half-marathon can be done until the 4th of September at the official website, while the registration and payment for the Fun Run and Kid’s Run are possible on the 16th and 17th of September at the enrollment site in BBI center.

Emphasizing the great satisfaction that the Sarajevo Half Marathon is healthy and prosperous project with continuity, director of the association Marathon Sarajevo, Erol Mujanovic, said that Sarajevo now has phenomenal and fast-growing community of runners.

“By following the current applications, we can safely say that the 18th of September will be the holiday of running and active lifestyle in a way that it will involve the largest number of our fellow citizens so far. With innovations such as the G-Drive relay half marathon (team of three participants running short sections of half marathon) or Nesquik Kid’s Run (race for children), with the existing Novo Nordisk Fun Run race/walk of 4km, we will enable an even greater number of amateurs to enjoy the manifestation, “said Mujanovic and particularly thanked to all this year’s partners, who despite the challenging business environment, recognized the quality of the team, project and social impact, and decided to become part of the most positive story in the city.

As in the past years, the project Sarajevo half marathon will have a special focus on humanitarian and social responsibility activities.

“This time we will again use the opportunity to raise funds for several organizations through which we help children who are living in extreme poverty or have significant health problems or are highly vulnerable and belong to the vulnerable categories of society,” said Mujanovic.

The slogan “Half marathon, full experience” perfectly reflects the atmosphere that surrounds this project in the days before and after the race. A lot of positive energy is the best motivation for organizers to continue with the most positive story in the city which attracted a large number of citizens of Sarajevo and significantly changed their lifestyle.
