Russian Embassy in BiH: Moscow Not Interfering in Bosnia’s EU Integration Process

The Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a statement stressing that Moscow is not interfering in the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integration into the European Union.

They characterized the public response of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, regarding the work of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and his mention of the “red phone through which Lavrov gives orders to Banja Luka”, as a Russophobic statement.

“In general, this is another Russophobic statement by Mr. Konaković, who is trying to divert attention from his own problems at the expense of Russia. Moscow is not interfering in the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s integration into the European Union,” the Russian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina stressed.

In their opinion, the reason for BiH’s stagnation on the path to Europe does not lie in Russia, but in “the constant attempts of certain circles in Sarajevo to literally destroy their political opponents, to remove them from power by all unscrupulous means, despite the enormous support of their voters, and to impose sanctions on their own fellow citizens from EU member states”.
