Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Stasa Kosarac confirmed that the Russian Federation has approved the continuation of imports of planting material and seedlings of producers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Our intensive negotiations with the Russian side have resulted in positive news for domestic farmers. The company ‘Poljoagro’ from Samac received the green light to continue exporting fruit seedlings to the Russian market, after the inspectors of the Russian Agency for Phytosanitary Supervision determined that this company fulfilled all the conditions for the continuation of exports,” said Minister Kosarac.

According to him, the producer of planting material “Poljoagro” from Samac was approved to export 500,000 apple seedlings and 300,000 peach seedlings to the Russian market this year.

“The value of the contracted work is more than one million euros, and I was especially encouraged by the fact that in 2021 this company provided a larger amount of seedlings intended for the Russian market compared to last year,” said Minister Kosarac.
