Salkic: The current Situation requires the consolidation of pro-Bosnian Forces

Ramiz Salkić, a member of the National Assembly of the RS, said on Tuesday that the cancellation of the visit of the high representative Christian Schmidt to Banja Luka is a direct message to Milorad Dodik that he can continue with creeping separatism and that there will be no foreign intervention.

“Abandoning the visit to Banja Luka of the high representative, who could have requested the assistance of the international armed forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure his security, is a direct message to Milorad Dodik that he can continue with creeping separatism and that there will be no foreign intervention. This is the worst possible something that could have happened to a high representative, to announce his arrival in a city, and then to give up on the visit under pressure from the local authorities,” Salkić believes.

He adds that this is a direct violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and its implementation without obstruction on the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The High Representative himself contributed to this state of affairs by missing opportunities to act adequately at certain moments. I dare to say that Dodik has informants in the immediate vicinity of the High Representative or someone who is in contact with key information and moves of the High Representative and the OHR, and behaves in accordance with them and takes steps,” adds Salkić.

Salkić believes that this will be a great encouragement for extremely radical-oriented separatists to continue their campaign towards the attempt to divide Bosnia and Herzegovina and endanger peace and stability with unforeseeable consequences.

“I call on all those who have decision-making mechanisms at different levels to bear in mind that tens of thousands of Bosniaks live in this entity who are discriminated against, and whose safety is increasingly threatened by the latest attacks by extremists. Our appeal to the action of EUFOR and OHR – and it is not our naivety, but our obligation to remind them of their obligations, but also their failures today, not to allow the kind of treason committed by their predecessors when they allowed the Bosnian Serb army and parts of the police to commit genocide against Bosniaks in UN “safe zones”.

The moment and the situation are very serious and they require the consolidation of pro-Bosnian forces, whatever that means, because it is obvious that those who today lead the processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina are partly naive, they do not see the processes correctly because of their desire for power, others are pushing the state into division and conflicts, while others are waiting for the outcome and their opportunity for part of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Salkić, Federalna reports.
