13342027_1776199939283349_1607868972_nThe Bosnian guitarist Sanel Redzic is the winner of 29 international awards. He held hundreds of concerts around the world, and he will transfer his knowledge to students of the Music Academy in Vienna (Wiener Musikakademie) from September.

Before that, this guitarist from Tuzla with address in the German city of Weimar, will generously transfer his knowledge to young guitarists from the Tuzla Canton.

Together with excellent professors of guitar Predrag Stankovic and Dejan Ivanovic in the period from the 9th to 14th of August this year, Redzic will organize multi-day summer school of guitar in a pleasant atmosphere of picnic site Zlaca near Banovici.

Young guitarists will be able to acquire new knowledge, which they will present in Tuzla in front of lovers of classical music as part of the manifestation “Summer in Tuzla”.

“It’s something I am planning since 2009. I have not talk with a lot of people about it and I think I have matured this year enough to start with such a project. I never wanted to make a guitar festival and competition, because I went on a lot of them, and I must say that I do not like competitions. I wanted to do something where young guitarists can learn in a relaxed atmosphere and from which they will eventually leave satisfied and happy, since it is not the situation with the competition – only one or two are going home happy,” said Redzic.

The concept of summer school is based on the everyday, individual classes, and its start from the 9th of August will be formalized by joint concert of Ivanovic and Redzic in Tuzla.

Redzic won 29 international awards. Already with 16 years, led by Professor Predrag Stankovic, he won first place in Belgrade on one of today’s largest guitar festivals in Europe – Guitar Art.

Paris Guitar Foundation recently made a documentary about this famous guitarist from Tuzla. In the film, Sanel recalled days of his childhood during the war in BiH. He described his musical beginnings, the first contact with the guitar, competitions, building of his careers and resettlement in the city of Weimar.

“Last year, I received an e-mail from Paris stating that Paris Guitar Foundation works on documentaries with selected guitarists around the world. They chose me because they consider me as currently the best guitarist of my generation in Germany, which is one of the greatest compliments I received this year. I immediately agreed to cooperate, and we recorded 10 hours in one day and made about 2 hours of material. Unfortunately, it had to be reduced to about 10 minutes, and I have to say that I was a little disappointed that many of the things I thought were important, will not be published. However, they said that everyone was in the same situation, and they do not want to make longer videos because people then look at just one part,” said Redzic.

Redzic also uses every opportunity to come to BiH. As he says, he is particularly attached to Tuzla and Sarajevo – the cities where he has a lot of friends and acquaintances, which, depending on his obligations, he visits 2 to 3 times a year.

After holidays, which he will spend in his home town, this young artist continues with his work. In June he will have the concert in Ludwigsburg, and a month later, the tour in China.

Take a look at the VIDEO.
