Sanin Musa at an Informative Interview in the FUP over the Announcement of the Gathering

Sanin Musa, leader of the political movement ‘Religion, People, State’, has been summoned for an informational interview at the premises of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) in Sarajevo, FUP confirmed to Fena news agency.

The police agency emphasizes that Musa has not been detained, but has been summoned for an interview.

Musa announced on social media this morning that he had been stopped by the police near Jablanica while traveling to Široki Brijeg. According to his statements, he intended to perform a prayer in a public place in that city with a group of supporters, which he announced as an act of “protecting the honor of a Muslim woman”. He emphasized that he would react in the same way in the event of a threat to religious buildings or sacred places of other religious communities.

The police in Široki Brijeg had previously made a decision to ban the planned gathering, citing security reasons. Despite the ban, Musa said that he would “come in peace”.

Musa emphasized that those coming must follow strict rules: no women and children, no weapons, no military uniforms and flags, and that they must be decently dressed.

We remind you that the police in Široki Brijeg previously issued a ban on gatherings, citing security reasons. Despite this, Musa claims that the arrival will not be cancelled.

In recent years, Sanin Musa has become recognizable for organizing protests, public gatherings and religious events that often provoke reactions from the public and police structures. His movement Faith, People, State is registered as a political organization that emphasizes “the protection of the religious and national identity of Bosniaks” in public statements.

On several occasions, Musa was the subject of police checks, most often in connection with unannounced or prohibited gatherings, and his rhetoric and activities often provoke divided reactions – from the support of some believers, to criticism for possibly inciting tension between communities.

For now, the FUP has not provided details on possible further procedures.
