The public communal company “Park” has finished production of two-year-old seasonal flowers, which will be decorating public green areas in Canton Sarajevo this autumn, and is ready for new works in flower beds in six municipalities in CS.

Planting and replacing seasonal flowers should begin this week.

“For the second year in a row, we’ve produced about 100,000 flowers, which will decorate public areas by May of next year”, Aldijana Hamza, an information associate at “Park” told FENA.

The flowers will decorate, among other things, the areas in Big and Small Parks, in the streets of Mula Mustafe Baseskija, Marshal Tito, Zmaja od Bosne, Bulevar Mese Selimovica, Dobrinja, the central part of Ilidza, as well as the area in Josanicka street in Vogosca.

“In addition to 100.000 pieces of violas, belisas, chrysanthemums and the like, one part of production is also intended for the decoration of smaller areas, which are not otherwise covered by regular maintenance, and whose arrangement was agreed in cooperation with local communities,” Hamza said, adding these are the areas in the municipalities of Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad, Vogosca.

A part of the new seasonal flowers has already been exhibited on the shelves at “Park’s” Garden Center Flora in Nedzarici. In addition to this kind of flower, the flora exhibition and sales panel is enriched with numerous seedlings of ornamental shrubs, live fences, roses, ornamental trees, and fruit seedlings.

Hamza stressed that planting seasonal flowers on green areas, not counting two additional plantings is done twice a year by “Park” in the municipalities of Stari Grad, Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad, Ilidža and Vogosca.
