img_6186A meeting was held yesterday between the Minister of Transportation and Communications of BiH Ismir Jusko and delegation of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia led by Minister Rasim Ljajić, regarding the processes of connecting the two countries.

It was emphasized that BiH and Serbia are interested in the project of construction of a speed road Sarajevo – Belgrade, whose construction would be financed by the Republic of Turkey. Moreover, the Serbian Minister Ljajić conveyed to the BiH minister the message from Turkey, stating that this country is ready to finance the major infrastructure project with the aim of ensuring better connections between the capitals of these two countries.

It was also highlighted that this route is already in the Transportation Strategy of BIH, as well as that this and other issues should be discussed in December at the meeting between the Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure of Serbia Zorana Mihajlović and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović.

The two delegations also exchanged experiences in the implementation of the digitalization process, since Serbia had already completed the process and BiH should soon launch the second stage of the digitalization process.
