Sarajevo Business Forum started yesterday

13152714_1765490337020976_630048926_nThe 7th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) started yesterday in Sarajevo under the motto ” One region, one economy.”

Business forum Perspectives of China + 16 countries of Central and South Eastern Europe will be held within this year’s Forum, which should represent a significant platform for development cooperation, said Amer Bukvic, CEO of Bosna Bank International of BiH.

President of the Islamic Development Bank, Ahmad Mohamad Ali, said that this forum confirmed itself as a brand that presents BiH and its investment capacities in the best way at the international level.

He stated that BiH worked hard to establish favorable business environment, and it is implementing the Reform Agenda as one of the steps for accelerating economic development.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, stated that BiH started with reforms last year which should create economically, politically and socially stable country and that they had already achieved initial goals and started with changes. He also noted that BiH has significantly improved business environment and increased competitiveness of the economy after only a year.

He said that BiH can offer significant projects in the field of energy and infrastructure to investors, and that tremendous growth in the field of tourism, as one of the branches of the potential for investment, is recently present.

Mirko Sarovic, Minister of Trade and Economic Relations BiH, said that BiH achieved growth in the last year, but he also noted that the downside is that it needs further investments to continue. Therefore, he emphasized that BiH should take advantage of the European initiative for regional development as well as a Chinese initiative, China + 16 in order to use these investment opportunities.

He stated that BiH supports new contents through cooperation initiative 16 + such as development projects with countries of the region in terms of the construction of road infrastructure, railways, port, electrical systems etc.
