ropewayGovernment of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) adopted the proposal of the Decision on approval of the realization of construction rights on properties that are owned by CS whose registered holder of the right of disposal is KJKP GRAS, in favor of the City of Sarajevo, and in the aim of the realization of the project “Revitalization of Trebevic Ropeway”. Assembly of CS should declare about this decision as well.

“If members of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo support proposal of the Government, on which they will be voting at the session in the second half of this month, the City of Sarajevo, as the stakeholder of this project, will have no more issues regarding the revitalization of Trebevic ropeway. The Decision specifies that the construction right is given to the city of Sarajevo on the period of 25 years from the date of registration in the Land Registry Office in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo and it will be terminated with the expiration of the period on which it was registered. After the termination of the construction right, the right of ownership over the facilities will exclusively belong to the KJKP GRAS without the possibility of claiming of compensation for increased value of the property,” as announced from the Press Office of the Canton Sarajevo.

The total investment value for Trebevic ropeway is 12 million BAM, from which 60 % are the funds and about 7.5 million BAM is donation by the Swiss Ski Resort “Grachen”. Besides donated funds, the equipment was donated as well and it has been kept safe by EUFOR for 4 years.
