Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto today received members of the Democratic Women’s Network of Ukraine, led by President Iryna Slavova, who are staying in our country with the aim of getting to know the post-war reforms in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In a conversation with the members of this network, Prime Minister Forto presented relevant information, as well as his own views of the processes that took place in the period after the end of the aggression against our country.

He offered help and made available the resources of cantonal institutions that can be useful for their work.

On this occasion, the members of the Democratic Network extended words of gratitude to the leaders of the Canton and the residents of Sarajevo, because from the very beginning, they openly expressed their position and condemned the aggression against Ukraine.

They expressed special gratitude for the procurement of medical aid that was sent from Sarajevo to the war-torn areas of Ukraine.

“The whole world knows what happened in Sarajevo during the war, so it is very important for us to hear those experiences and how to make life easier in the new war circumstances and after. We are very grateful for the help and support of the people of Sarajevo, who went through similar sufferings, as well as the political representatives for their clear and courageous recognition of the aggression against our country. We are especially grateful to Prime Minister Forto for his visit to Ukraine and Kyiv,” said Slavova.

During the visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Democratic Women’s Network of Ukraine will also meet with women’s non-governmental organizations that cooperate with the authorities in reform processes and promote gender equality and participate in strengthening the networks of the non-governmental sector.
