Sarajevo will be for the third time be the center of artistic music, where from 26th August to 4th September will be held programs with the most prestigious regional Chamber Music, Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival – SCMF 2013
This festival will be organized from Manhattan String Quartet and the Music Academy in Sarajevo, and will be free of charge for all visitors, announced the organizers.
In the last two editions, SCMF has gathered some of the most prominent names in the world of art music scene, and this year a good repertoire will be ensured by Resident Ensemble Festival, New York’s Manhattan String Quartet, which consists of Chris Finckel, Calvin Wiersma, John Dexter and Curtis Macomber.
This year, the festival’s audience will participate in the research work, and the magic of creating two special genius musical art of the 18th and 19th century – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms.
In the ten-day program workshop, masters of courses and lectures, selected young musicians will get a chance to learn the secrets of master musicianship of the world’s top artists and lecturers at the world famous universities, and their work will be presented to a joint concert at the Music Academy on 2nd September.
