Sarajevo City HallSarajevo City Hall was officially declared open on 9th May last year, and on 28th August, the entrance fees for tour started, and from then citizens and tourist could see how this beautiful building looks like.

Entrance fees for the tour are charged at a symbolic price of 2 BAM, and the entrance is free for children under the age of 15.

As it is confirmed to us from the City Administration, more than 26.000 tickets were sold until now. The number of visitors is higher as well due to the fact the entrance was free in July and August and children under the age of 15 do not pay the entrance.

It was emphasized several times that the City Hall should be the Multimedia center so the new activities such as concerts, exhibitions, art and museum settings, literary nights and gala receptions are being introduced.

Lat year, on the occasion of the National Day of BiH, the museum space was promoted for the first time, where the exhibition dedicated to the life in Sarajevo in last 100 years, by the nam “Sarajevo 1914-2014“ was opened. According to the project, the restaurant exists, but it isn’t opened yet.

The National and the University Library of BiH still has not returned to the premises of the City Hall. That dispute was still unsolved, and in the City Administration told that the NUL has its place in the City Hall, but that it isn’t using it.

Also, the concert of Turkish pianist, Olcay Saral as a part of the Sarajevo Winter was held in the City Hall, and in the next week, the concert “Sevdalinka, tradition and contemporary interpretation“ will be held, also as a part of the Sarajevo Winter manifestation.
