construction of roundaboutMayor of the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo, Semir Efendic, and the director of the Directorate for Roads of Canton Sarajevo, Adem Zolj, signed yesterday in the building of the Municipality, a contract on the joint financing of the construction of a roundabout on the sixth transversal, which will be built at the crossing of Dzemala Bijedica street and the sixth transversal in Buca Potok.
It is about the first phase of the project for whose realization, 900.000 BAM was allocated, from which the Municipality allocated 200.000 BAM and the Directorate allocated 700.000 BAM.

“When it comes to traffic jams on the area of Novi Grad, currently we have the biggest problem at the crossroad in Safeta Zajke street in Buca Potok and near the underpass on the road to Otoka. The entire road is very loaded as in morning, as well as in afternoon hours. In order to solve traffic jams at that crossroad, together with the Directorate, we are working on a project of the construction of a roundabout. However, during the construction, we found out that it is needed to construct two roundabouts in order that they have their function.

One is at the crossroad between the sixth transversal and Dzemala Bijedica street, whose construction will start on Monday, and the second roundabout is at the crossroad of Safeta Zajke street and the sixth transversal, which should be constructed in the next year“, explained Mayor Efendic.
