sarajevo-palaceWithin the negotiations about the realization of a large investment project on the site Vranjace – Zlatiste, on Thursday, the 15th of December at the premises of the Municipality Center was held a presentation of the preliminary design of the future “Sarajevo Palace”, whose estimated value is 250 million BAM.

Representatives of the Municipality of Centar are in negotiations since February this year with a potential investor from Berlin with BH roots Mirsad Fikica regarding implementation of the project of hotel that investors want to build on the mentioned site.

The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Municipality Center Nedzad Ajnadzic and his advisor for investment Mustafa Resic.

“I am happy and satisfied with the results of the meeting at which we established and verbally confirmed our partnership. The new facility is designed to occupy an area of 56,000 square meters, which would be connected with the city by cable car from Skenderija to Zlatiste and with great platforms to enjoy the view of the Sarajevo. Through this project we will connect other activities, from construction to the food industry,” said Fikica, as reported by Sarajevo Construction.

He added that he talked with potential investors, of which one part is from our country, and presented a project whose value according to preliminary estimates is about 250 million EUR.

“In the hotel should be employed around 300 people and it will contain 250 rooms and 108 suites, and special part of the offer will be royal and presidential suites, as well as a large conference hall with a capacity of 2,000 people. According to our estimate, we can open the door of the hotel for first guests in six to seven years,” explained Fikica after the presentation of the preliminary design.

Mayor Ajnadzic said that the administration of the Municipality of Centar will always be a support for serious investors.

“Next week, I am planning to have a meeting with several prominent architects. On that occasion, I will ask for their opinions on the way to fit our vision of the future of the facility with supporting services into the spatial possibilities if Zlatiste as well as in regional planning documentation,” said Ajnadzic.
